My formula contains four simple ingredients: a captivating image, the tools of screen printing, a routine that carries my interests, and communication by sharing the product.

I choose landscape images because they capture my excitement for natural beauty. I look to describe performances of weather, light coursing through the ridges of forests, the moving surface of water, the quiet weight of snowfall. It is important that I interweave my relation to the image as it speaks of my sight, experience and memory of the time.

As each edition is planned, I commit to a set of activities and materials that carry me through the process. Evidence of each step can be found in the fianl product.

Developing strategies and attending to the details creates a cadence in the production of multiples.

I view a printed image as it refers to previous work and to where it might lead. Working through the steps in the process is like hopping stone to stone across a stream. I have an image in mind that provides the initiative to get across, while the destination depends on the leaps taken.
